Following in the footsteps of other H&M collaborators like Lanvin and Sonia Rykiel, Marni will be giving back to charity with a portion of the proceeds from one of their collaboration items. Twenty-five percent of net proceeds from the sale of the tee at right will be directed toward the Red Cross in Japan to help with the ongoing damages and relief efforts in response to the earthquake last year.
Nicestthing is ready to support. “Lovely, hopefully I’ll manage to get one!” she posted.
Jazzeh commented, “It'd set a nice precedent if one item in every H&M collaboration donated money to a cause.”
All the collaborators who didn’t choose to designate some of their profits for charity kind of seem heartless right now, don’t they?
