As announced back in January, Léa Seydoux is one of the latest actresses to join Louis Vuitton’s ever-growing list of ambassadors. Joining the likes of Alicia Vikander and Michelle Williams, the French beauty’s first campaign for the iconic fashion house has been unveiled for our pleasure. Fronting Vuitton’s seasonal Spirit of Travel campaign, Léa looks right at home before the lens of photographer Patrick Demarchelier. The team descended on a modern ranch situated in Mexico City for the occasion as Léa models an array of handbags designed and reimagined by Nicolas Ghesquière, which complement the very vibrant surroundings.
Members of our forums weren’t very excited about Léa’s new gig with Vuitton, however. “An overall bad combination. She worked better for Prada and Miu Miu,” disapproved GivenchyHomme the moment the campaign dropped.
“She is beautiful even if it’s weird not seeing her as the sophisticated woman she was for Prada,” added Lola701.
Dodencebt pointed out, “It’s a bit less dreamy than usual, but Léa looks great. I don’t like how blatantly exposed the bags look though. Surely there could have been more natural poses to showcase them…”
Ed.. agreed, chiming in, “Probably the most boring ‘travel’ campaign they have produced.”
“Léa’s not doing much traveling in this campaign. Overall, dull, as others have commented,” echoed a less than impressed justaguy.
“I fail to see the spirit of travel… and that location and horse have already been used in editorials so this is nothing special IMO,” huffed kokobombon.
VogueDisciple93 shared the same underwhelming sentiments, asking, “Why travel or call it travel and have half the shots be close-ups against a wall?”
