Los Angeles-based jeweler Cedrick Jihanian, whose line WWD is reporting, is a favorite of celebrities including Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu, Mariah Carey and Felicity Huffman, has added lower-price styles to his 140-piece signature collection. Jihanian’s collection includes four groups— Signature, Envy, Heiress and Sparta — the pieces in the groups are made from 18-karat yellow gold, diamonds and gemstones.

The line, which used to retail at around $14,000, now includes pieces starting at $4,000 and is sold exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue. Included in the lower-priced line are pieces such as gold and diamond hoop earrings. The designer tells WWD that he wanted more women to be able to wear his jewelry. He said that that he grew up looking in the windows at the jewelry stores on the Place Vendôme (Jihanian was born in Paris), so he always wanted to design beautiful things.

Jihanian started his line in Los Angeles 15 years ago after starting his career in Paris when he graduated from the Ecole de Rue du Louvres. The designer subsequently worked at famed jewelry houses Van Cleef & Arpels, Boucheron, and finally Cartier.
