Moschino Cheap and Chic Spring 2013 Runway Review

This season, creative director Rosella Jardini once again turned to Moschino signatures for the brand's diffusion line with plenty of fruit-inspired pieces, peace signs, and bright colors. The collection wasn't as upbeat as one might have expected and a few seventies-inspired pieces (notably bell bottom trousers and overalls) appeared a smidgen dated. Further, while there was much to love in the fruit prints, other looks like sheer mesh separates fell flat.

Moschino Cheap & Chic is best known for lighthearted, youthful, tongue in cheek wares and it's a shame that Jardini didn't utilize the bright colors and quirky brand signatures to show more of them this season.
