Celeb favorite Roland Mouret — whose influence can notably be seen in Victoria Beckham’s critically acclaimed dress collection – will, beginning next March, show his RM by Roland Mouret line during Paris Fashion Week instead of during Paris Couture Week.

Mouret told WWD that the collection is now more strongly established in the market and that he believes that it’s a really a ready-to-wear collection adding that “the real luxury is that people want clothes straight after the show. With what’s happening around us, when a lot of women are really frightened to invest in clothes, we have to make the relationship with the customer stronger and keep the signature pieces, with the same hand.” For Mouret that means focusing on perfectly tailored, ultra-fitted dresses.

It is also being reported that there will be an acceleration in his delivery cycle. The collection Mouret will present in March will have been sold to buyers in January and will hit outlets within three months of the show. Meanwhile the French born, London based designer’s spring 2010 collection is set to arrive in stores two months after it is shown in Paris.

On another note, Mouret fans can delight at the fact that it was recently confirmed that Mouret will get into menswear. That said, the designer is waiting to feel out how the market will do in the coming seasons before setting a launch date.
