The Spring 2018 runways were filled with period pieces (styled anachronistically, of course). Miuccia Prada layered Victorian-era bustiers over graphic tees; Nicolas Ghesquière paired brocade frock coats with silk running shorts at Louis Vuitton. Here to further fuel our desire for clothes that feel as if they had a past life is Canadian and Turkish designer Erdem Moralioglu, whose much-anticipated H&M collab dropped today.
As presaged by the dreamy Baz Luhrmann-directed teaser the duo released this past July, the capsule is filled with floaty tea dresses and floral print suits. But that’s not all: there’s also ruffle, lace and bow-accented blouses, jackets and coats done in tweed and faux fur, colorful cable knit sweaters, fancy pajama-style shirts, pretty bow hairpins and — to remind us we’re all still in 2017 — a logoed sweatshirt and flower-embellished combat boots.
Suffice it to say we need it ALL. And even if you didn’t manage to nab a piece — unsurprisingly, the collection’s already nearly sold out — be sure to steal some styling tips from the surrealist, Michal Pudelka-lensed lookbook. Printed hoodies with matching slip dresses and heels? Yes, please.

To promote the new collection, filmmaker Baz Luhrmann created a cinematic short film entitled “The Secret Life of Flowers,” set in a mysterious country mansion where it’s “always spring.” When friends come to stay, a love triangle begins, starring upcoming actors Tom Rhys Harries, Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Ruby Dagnall. They are joined by acclaimed actress Harriet Walter and supermodels Saskia de Brauw, Imaan Hammam, Grace Hartzel, Fernando Cabral, Neels Visser and Tony Ward.
“I wanted the film to be like a whole movie. It’s a very modern love story, set in a country house that is full of its own secrets and it’s like a metaphor for our times – it’s harsh out there in the world, but in here, the things that really matter keep growing in an eternal spring,” said Baz Luhrmann.
