Last week at the Ford Artists Beauty Suite, The Fashion Spot had a chance to chat with one of the most sought-after hair stylists, Francky L'Official. Francky appears regularly on Real Housewives of New York City, owns an eponymous salon on the Upper East Side, and styles editorial spreads.
In our interview, Francky had plenty of praise for dry shampoo: "I use dry shampoo for basically everything." He admits that it's a good way to spruce up between washes, but that its vast styling benefits have been underreported. "If you have really fine hair, and you want volume, put the dry shampoo on your roots, put on the hot rollers and you have the volume you want."
His favorite brand is Label M. "It's the best," he said, "it gives the hair texture without making it greasy." He promises that dry shampoo is the key product for achieving spring's top hair trends, like lazy, undone styles and 20s-inspired finger waves. "Use spray shampoo to get texture and make the hair matte."

Francky's planning to launch his own line of hair products on HSN in June and hopes to include his own dry shampoo. The line will "have a new concept, new way to apply, new ingredients," and his own dry shampoo would be "totally different than the ones on the market," which is why it might launch after the rest of the line.
