We knew from Mert Alas’ Instagram page that he and Madonna were working on a special project together. So it’s no shock that she has shown up on the cover of Interview magazine, lensed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The iconic American singer stars on not one, but three covers for the magazine’s art issue, donning pieces from Alexander McQueen, Givenchy and on the cover pictured below, a mask from MORDEKAI by Ken Borochov.
But are we missing something? Madonna appears to have fallen out of favor with our forum members. “Madonna in a bondage themed editorial. Now that’s something that has never been done before,” commented a sarcastic KateTheGreatest, unimpressed with Madonna’s latest magazine appearance.
“I’m bored! Same concept again and again!!” echoed zacatecas570.
Lifeispeachy wasn’t having any of it: “The art issue .. more like the Photoshop miracle issue. It looks so fake and boring, she always does the same kind of eds this isn’t even provocative anymore.”
Also not an admirer of the shoot was fluxxx, who wrote, “I’m so tired to see Madonna in latex. Come on Madonna, you’re too old for this kind of shot. I applaud her confidence to do this kind of shot but it’s so repetitive.”
“Can’t wait for the unretouched photo leaks,” added Cosmic Voices.
Forum member mepps‘ comment stood out among the rest as he enthused, “Amazing covers! All of them. And based on the other pics they’ve posted on their Instagram, as well as others I’ve seen on the net, this is not a bondage photo shoot. I love how M&M always worship her as the Queen, and icon she is. They tend to go a bit over the top with Photoshop, but they do it with everyone. That’s their schtick.”
Are you a fan? Or are you completely bored with this recycled concept? See inside the thread for Madonna’s raunchy cover story and tell us what you think here.
