Georgia May Jagger Fronts Vogue Russia in Yet ANOTHER 60s-Inspired Cover (Forum Buzz)

Are you as fed up as we are of seeing models styled in 60s-inspired looks on magazine covers? Georgia May Jagger has turned up on Vogue Russia’s cover doing her best Twiggy impression, captured by Ellen von Unwerth for the magazine’s first issue of 2015. Sporting thick blue eye makeup and a nude lip, Georgia showcases a silk blue checked blouse from Celine, while donning a complementing leather cap by Gucci. But our forum members are far from impressed.

“Yikes…Worst start of 2015 you can imagine,” ranted an unimpressed anlabe32 within minutes of the cover surfacing on our forums.

“I had to take a step back from my computer,” added Oxymore, shocked at Vogue Russia’s offering this month.

Kite shared his disbelief and posted, “The end is near…this is an abomination…imagine pitching that cover to the publisher.”

Also left underwhelmed and bored by the 60s styling was GivenchyHomme: “I’m beginning to get burned out on the ‘mod’ look. It’s not feeling fresh anymore.”

Forum member anlabe32 soon returned to the thread: “She’s just one of the worst models I’ve ever seen. She’s not even pretty.” Ouch.

“Why is she getting all these covers? Lately she’s everywhere,” asked KateTheGreatest.

“Someone upped the contrast and saturation layers a little too much in the edit room,” noted Cosmic Voices.

Not very good feedback for Russian Vogue‘s new January cover. See more comments and check out a preview inside the thread here.
