Hailey Bieber Serves 80s Glamour on the May 2021 Cover of Vogue Paris

It’s common knowledge that Emmanuelle Alt has a roster of models on speed dial when it comes to the covers of Vogue Paris. But this year, the magazine is shaking things up…a bit. It gave Quinn Mora her very first Vogue Paris cover for March. Not to mention Nora Attal for April. Now Hailey Bieber makes her debut on the French fashion bible. The American beauty and current face of Versace fronts the May 2021 issue and transports us back to the 80s. Photographed by David Sims, Hailey wears a look from Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons’ debut Prada Spring 2021 collection in the dynamic cover image.

The outcome took our forum members by surprise. “OK, this is actually decent,” confessed GERGIN. “Hailey does capture that 80s French girl style nicely and it shows through Sims’ lens.”

“Hailey is strongest when she’s cosplaying late-80s iconography and this is as spot-on 1987 as it gets — from the hair and the slinky mock-neck little black dress to the overexposed lighting. I’ll take it,” raved Phuel.

“I was ready to lash out on this cover, but to be honest, I was surprised. I love it! Her best cover to date. I love the sexy vibe matched with the vintage effect. The colors are perfect, too,” approved MON.

“Certainly one of Hailey Bieber’s finer moments on a Vogue cover! I love the 80s Madonna vibes I’m getting from the hair, the sense of energy and movement from the shot, the red and just very much a fan of the cover as a whole,” said vogue28.

“I was completely prepared to rant, but the cover is actually quite stunning! Perhaps I’d appreciate what Hailey has to offer more if I didn’t consider her a mere Instagram celebrity,” voiced aracic.

But not everyone was thrilled. “Getting Justin Bieber to marry her was the best career move she could’ve made,” proclaimed MyNameIs.

“Another day, another Hailey cover,” added Summer Day.
