Blackpink is definitely dominating newsstands. The K-pop phenomenon first made a splash fronting ELLE and more recently on Vogue Korea. While its members have gone solo covering Vogue Australia, Vogue Japan along with W Korea. Vogue Hong Kong is the latest to jump on the Blackpink bandwagon. It welcomes Lisa as its July 2021 cover star (in collaboration with Vogue Thailand). Photographed by Kim Hee June and styled by Sean Kunjambu, Lisa rocks a mix of Celine, Shushu/Tong, Courrèges and Bulgari for the two covers.
Of course, our eagle-eyed forum members noticed something off about the first cover (above). “Is the O incomplete on purpose or just incompetency? Honestly, editors are so effing lazy these days,” wrote marsnoop2.
“I hope this was the wrong cover posted. I will really laugh if they released a cover with the O being edited/covered like that. Just shows how amateur this edition is. Nothing special,” voiced an obviously disappointed MON.

“Editors are becoming either overworked or lazy,” declared an unimpressed AFWQ.
“Despite the rather embarrassing blunder with the Vogue masthead, I don’t mind what I’m seeing here and the two covers are undoubtedly the strongest Vogue cover appearance Lisa has made (thus far). I like the nude background and fonts, which allow Lisa’s dark hair and the clothing to stand out,” admired vogue28.
FashionMuseDior is certainly a fan: “I love her pose and she looks sexy as hell.”
“Love it!” proclaimed a clearly thrilled Urban Stylin.
