Super chic power-couple Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl are the new faces of prestige skincare brand La Mer. The 28-year-old American socialite, who’s popularly recognized for her stylish wardrobe and rubbing elbows with fashion’s elite, explained to the Telegraph that, like many women, she has a soft spot for beauty. Olivia and her model husband star in the luxury skincare line’s new Illuminating Moments short film, which is part of the brand’s digital campaign to promote its latest innovation, The Illuminating Eye Gel ($145). “The eyes are the most powerful force of attraction,” said Loretta Miraglia, senior vice president of La Mer. “A man or woman may not speak a word, but their eyes will tell you everything.”
La Mer will show a total of three vignettes, featuring glamorous couples from Paris, Seoul and the U.S., with Olivia and Johannes representing New York and debuting the initiative. The brand is also encouraging consumers to “light up” and share their own illuminating moments via images on social media using #eyeslightup, which will be posted on its website. This morning, Olivia shared a clip on her Instagram account with her 1.7 million followers.
