Get the Look: Celebs Tie on Accessories

Nicole Richie head wrap

Sometimes it’s the little touches that take your outfit from average to enviable. Celebrities have stylists to calculate all the complicated nuances of putting together a look, but we aren’t all so fortunate. Luckily, tFS has put together some celeb-inspired styling tips and tricks to help you give your look that extra oomph! This week, stars show you three different ways to tie on chic summer accessories like wrap belts, head scarves, and pashminas.

Tip #1: Knot a Turban like Nicole Richie

If there’s any celeb who knows how to wear a head scarf, it’s Nicole Richie. In an interview with People the boho babe said, “I have headscarves with me all the time just because I’m at the beach and sometimes just can’t do my hair, so it’s easy for me to just throw on a headscarf.” Leaving a friend’s house in Los Feliz, CA, she was spotted wearing a leapord print head scarf tied in a turban style with round sunglasses from her own House of Harlow line. Knot a printed scarf at your hairline like Richie, or make it even simpler by trying already-tied turban headwear like our shopping picks.

1. Marc by Marc Jacobs Retro Round Sunglasses – $98; 2. Jennifer Behr Animal Print Silk Turban Headband – $182; 3. Free People Printed Silk Turban – $48

Tip #2: Follow Dianna Agron’s lead and accessorize an LBD with a Pashmina

Pashminas aren’t just for cold weather. At an I am Number Four special signing, Dianna Agron added a pretty touch to her black Proenza Schouler dress by adding an Alexander McQueen patterned pashmina which matched her navy tights. Update the old drape-around-the-neck style by knotting your pashmina securely and letting the ends fall over your chest for a more ladylike look like Agron's.

1. Topshop Black Shanghai Floral Scarf – $32; 2. Alexander McQueen Koi Skull Pashmina – $332; 3. Hue Opaque Tights – $12.50

Tip #3: Wrap your waist like Claudia Schiffer

Claudia Schiffer never ceases to look stylish, even when she’s dropping the kids off at school. Here she tied on a leather wrap belt to emphasize her waist in a way that’s a lot more eye-catching than a buckle belt. The adjustable style is an fun way to add shape and a tough element to your breezy summer blouses and dresses.

1. Free People Marmara Wrap Belt – $49.95; 2. K-Dash by Kardashian Faux Leather Wrap Belt – $44; 3. Ralph Lauren Blue Label V-Neck Wool Sweater Dress – $345
