Pippa Middleton’s May 20 wedding to British multimillionaire James Matthews is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about events of the year. Partly because Pippa, like most brides-to-be, seems to have a very precise idea as to how the day will go.

In addition to instituting a strict “no ring, no bring” policy, whereby ring-less plus-ones (with the exception of Prince Harry’s girlfriend Meghan Markle) are only allowed to attend the reception, Pippa expects those who do merit an invitation to St. Mark’s Church to change up their look for the after-party at the Middleton family home.

According to The Telegraph, Pippa has stipulated that guests pack two outfits: one for the ceremony, one for the reception. Even Vogue calls the request (or rule, depending on how Pippa phrased it) a “pretty high-maintenance thing to ask of [one’s] guests,” given that many will be traveling from out of town, and we all know how stressful finding one perfect wedding outfit, let alone two, can be. (Not that those attending the Middleton-Matthews pairing are at a loss for formalwear.)

We, of course, are here for any rule that results in more Kate Middleton style photos. The real question is: Will this become a “trend”? Are outfit swaps the new mismatched bridesmaids dresses? Stay tuned.
