News & Runway

Though I always find it hard for Saab to top his couture collection, this season the designer delighted with a number of elegant eveningwear as well as daywear looks.

Beautiful graphic cuts and structured lines made for a slew of long, lean looks delicately draped and shown in monochrome and two-tone color ways.

Strong shoulders and forms were anatomically sculpted with the help of large top-stitching and bands of color.

Micro boleros embroidered with macro lace and fur inserts were worn over ultra slim, high-waisted trousers.

Shades of black (a mix of lace, astrakhan and grosgrain), contrasted with little shiny parkas and embroidered skinny pants, while lighter cream, chestnut, and powder grey shades were treated as color blocks balanced against a series of draped dresses in dusty blue and celadon green.

Giving the dresses Saab’s signature goddess feel, there were interlacing straps which exposed the models shoulders and complemented the fabric’s soft drape.
