News & Runway

It feels like we only just blew the dust off our summer dresses and packed away our winter cashmere. But with only a couple days until September, stores have stopped selling linen pants and are stocking up on Fall’s must-haves.

Although all girls dream of McQueen jackets and Alexander Wang purses, some budgets can’t make that a reality.  Instead, here are a few other options to keep wallets full and everyone stylish throughout the windy days and snowy nights (or rainy nights, until you hit November).

For basic Fall outerwear (essential when you’re still sporting a sundress but need a little coverage), you could try spending $630 on a Doma leather jacket, or get the vegan version at  Urban Outfitters for $128, which I recommend wearing to a Kills concert to make the boys jealous.

The runway demand for animal print hasn’t diminished since last winter, so splurge on the YSL cashmere scarf, or stock up on a Forever 21 version, (at under ten bucks, you can get one in each color).

And for trudging through the autumn leaves, Jimmy Choo’s knee high boots make us drool, but Seychelles offers a suede pair that promises to make heads turn for $125.

A last splurge? The Topshop Mongolian gilet which, at $180, is a far cry in price from the Vince, Philip Lim and Miu Miu versions (just as good looking, but all around $900).

Accent it with a hot pink hair piece and chunky ring, and you’ll be ready to face anything winter throws at you. Even snowballs.
