Christian Dior and a Smattering of PYTs Turn Out for the Guggenheim International Gala Pre-Party

It’s a busy time at Christian Dior. The label is gearing up to stage its pre-fall collection in Tokyo on December 11, but that doesn’t mean it’s all work and no play for the fashion house. Dior is sponsoring this year’s Guggenheim International Gala, which helps raise money for the museum. The French label decided to get the festivities started a little early last night, holding a pre-party for the event hosted by the Young Collectors Council, a group of professionals between the ages of 24 and 40 who meet and vote on buying new works of art for the museum.

You could tell the under 40 set had something to do with the affair. The event drew quite a few young, trendy models and members of Hollywood’s “cool kid” set. The museum tapped British indie rock group The xx to provide a little musical entertainment for the evening. Inside, we spied Hanne Gaby Odiele enjoying champagne during the performance with a few of her equally tall friends. We took in the music standing next to Zoe Kravitz, who brought an alternative vibe to the Dior separates she sported last night. While the other Dior-clad guests seemed to exude the traditional “Dior woman” vibe, Zoe’s cascading box braids pulled back into a ponytail and septum piercing added a welcome edge to the look. She brought a cool and funky air, which we appreciated.

Of course, Creative Director Raf Simons was on hand, floating around the VIP area chatting with friends until Marion Cotillard showed up and the two were joined at the hip, with CEO Sidney Toledano not too far behind. A now-single A$AP Rocky also showed, and he seems to be enjoying his freedom as a single lad. We spied the rapper flirting with a few attractive women, looking unbothered by his recent breakup with Chanel Iman. But maybe he’s just covering up how he feels inside.

Couldn’t get inside the party? Check out some snaps from the event below.
