Hamptons staples Kelly Ripa and Donna Karan (one of the event creators), along with Twilight’s Ashley Greene, Ariel Foxman, and InStyle will be the hosts of this year’s Ovarian Cancer Research Fund’s (OCRF) 13th annual Super Saturday event.
The always star-studded, A-list fashion shopping event will be held on Saturday, July 31st at Nova’s Ark Project in Water Mill, Southampton from 1 p.m. through 6 p.m., with a special preview hour beginning at noon.
The daylong fundraiser to benefit OCRF comes complete with a one-of-a-kind designer garage sale, carnival, and activities (think Physique 57-provided pedicures), a luxury raffle, and gourmet treats.
Once dubbed "the Rolls Royce of garage sales," the most anticipated element of Super Saturday is the fashion garage sale, which includes merchandise from over 200 prominent designers including Donna Karan, Theory, Carolina Herrera, Calvin Klein, Catherine Malandrino, Charlotte Ronson, Diane von Furstenberg, Elizabeth & James, Giorgio Armani, Ports 1961, and Ralph Lauren.
The special Super Saturday Accessories Salon will showcase luxury accessories – past designers have included Louis Vuitton, Emilio Pucci, and Tory Burch. There truly is no better place to shop for a well-curated selection of designer discounts, while contributing to an amazing cause.
For the third consecutive year, the "Designers A to Zoe" booth by Rachel Zoe will feature luxury designers including Chloe, Derek Lam, Giuseppe Zanotti, Judith Leiber, Kara Ross, Oscar de la Renta, Stella McCartney, and Temperley London.
Once you’re done shopping – and trust that you’ll want to come as early as possible, so you have time to sort through all the bargains – there are a slew of activities planned. In addition to the Physique 57 Pedicure Salon, shoppers can stop by Votre Vu’s VuBAR Airstream for relaxing botanical hand therapy, or sun-shielding treatment for skin, lips, and hair, along with countless other stands set up to entertain men and children.
Initially created in 1998 by Donna Karan, the late Liz Tilberis, and OCRF’s President Faith Kates Kogan, all net proceeds raised go directly to OCRF’s research programs. In 2009, Super Saturday raised over $3.7 million for Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
