Proenza Schouler’s Uniform Dressing for Fall: Get the Look

The boys behind Proenza Schouler presented an extremely clean-cut collection for the upcoming fall season, including high waists, collars, pleated skirts, and letterman jackets.

Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough have successfully created a happening wardrobe for every cool girl to rock this season while channeling their inner schoolgirl style.

Proenza Schouler’s fall looks can easily be transformed into outfits to create just the right look for you in the next few months.

Classic hues of school uniforms are usually navy, black, and white.  Proenza took those shades and added a few more exciting tones to the mix with dark pink, brighter blues, and green.

Their look is a perfect cross between the darkness of the Nineties grunge era with that classic private school, preppy vibe that we usually see Blair Waldorf wearing on Gossip Girl.

Each look was toughened up with a touch of leather. Examples include a leather skirt, tie, and several skinny leather belts.  The traditional uniform look was also given an edge with colored fur added onto letterman’s jackets.  Mini skirts and dresses were included in almost every look, with both small and large pleats.  The standout outerwear pieces were the toggle closure coats, which are the appropriate cover ups for those rainy winter days when you still want to look fashionable.

The models’ looks were finished with thigh-high black stockings, dark reddish purple lips, tousled wavy hair, and wooden platform clogs in various leathers.  Get the look with these pieces that will help you create your own version of Proenza Schouler’s perfect uniform dressing.
