Barbiecore Is The Upbeat Trend Your Fall Wardrobe Needs
There’s no denying that the world is filled with alot of heavyness. Fall usually means a return to dark hues and neutrals, but this season we’re seeing a continuation of something that started over the summer: barbiecore. This is just trend we need to help alleviate some of the heavy hearts most of us seem to walk around with on the daily.
“Barbiecore is all about embracing the color, fun and nostalgia associated with Barbie,” explains Betsy Ferraro, chief creative officer for Milly. “We love this trend because it’s always a party and, like at our brand, it celebrates women, femininity and that expression through bold colors in incredible silhouettes.”
If the idea of Barbie makes you think of hot pink head-to-toe, that’s not necessarily the case. “Of course, you can go head-to-toe pink, but you can also tip toe into the trend with an elegant pink floral blouse paired with your favorite jeans,” says Ferraro. “It’s also important to remember that pink, like every other color, has different shades which work better with different skin tones. That said, if you’re looking to go for a bold look, pick your best pink and don’t be afraid to go head-to-toe. Our collection this year features pinks of every shade, from a carnation pink to a deep pink magenta.”
While head-to-toe might not be for everyone or stay a trend for all that long, the individual pieces you’re opting for will stand the test of time. Barbiecore might not be a forever trend, after-all, but pink is a forever color.
